Introduction to Workboat Association new member, Charity & Taylor (Electronic Services) Ltd 

Our company, Charity & Taylor, (C&T) joined the Workboat Association as corporate members this year. So, this is by way of a brief introduction to who we are and what we do – and you would be most welcome to come along and meet us on Stand D97 at the Seawork show this week, 21st to 23rd June. 

Charity & Taylor is a marine electronics supplier, installer, and maintainer. We have service depots in: 

• Aberdeen
• Grangemouth
• Great Yarmouth
• Falmouth
• Liverpool
• Tyne Tees
• Southampton (Opens later this year)

From these bases we offer Shore Based Maintenance Certification, (SBM), and support, Radio Surveys, fixed price annual contracts for APT's, Radio Surveys, EPIRB's etc. Our team of field engineers are all fully qualified and constantly trained on the equipment we support. 

We supply, install and service most makes of radars, ECDIS, VDR's, VHF's and most other marine electronic equipment found in the wheelhouse, in particular our popular X21 compact VSAT equipment where we already have 150 fittings on workboats and fishing vessels. X21 can now operate on all the major global trade routes, and we offer super-competitive all-you-can-eat airtime contracts with the equipment and airtime all packaged into a low monthly fee. 

Charity & Taylor also majors on services such as financial products and fixed-price maintenance contracts. 

So, in summary: 

Interest-free promotions – Certus satcom on promo at the Seawork show. Low-cost leasing at 3.47% typically – can be spread across the complete wheelhouse or fleet.
Rental Maintenance over 5 years – provides new equipment for a monthly/quarterly fee to include repairs globally. At termination, keep it or replace on same terms. 
Critical cover – low cost, fixed price cover for key equipment
Extended Warranties available for up to 5 years on all new equipment we supply. 

C&T is part of the Aage Hempel company, which has service operations in key locations such as Rotterdam, Panama, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Egypt and Singapore. We co-ordinate repairs through our associate companies and agents right across the world. The Aage Hempel group is part of the €115m revenue Spanish company Grupo Arbulu, based in Madrid.
